ASG's gun replicas are very realistic, and it's no different with the Western Schofield Revolver.

The beautiful solid all-metal construction of the air revolver is complemented by a wood-grain plastic stock.

The propellant of this Schofield revolver is a standardized 12g CO2 cartridge. This is inserted into the handle under the left hand grip. The revolver thus retains a realistic appearance.

The principle of the CO2 system: the bomb is inserted into the gun and mechanically sealed to the stock. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer hits the valve stem and the valve opens. The valve opens and the trigger opens and CO2 gas starts to flow through the valve, forcing the bullet out of the barrel.

Because the barrel of the Schofield revolver is smoothbore, its 6" length ensures sufficient accuracy for fun hobby shooting at both objects and targets.

The cylinder capacity of the ASG Schofield air revolver is 6 shots. The 4.5mm diabolo ammunition is loaded into realistic cartridges, which then go into the cylinder chambers. The cylinder chambers are accessed by pulling the rear sight back and then opening the revolver.

The trigger mechanism, as with the live action model, is in Single Action mode only. To fire the revolver, the hammer must be cocked with the thumb. This causes the cylinder chamber to rotate against the barrel. After that, all you have to do is squeeze the trigger lightly.

It's unusual for a revolver to be equipped with a safety, but in the case of the Schofield air revolver you'll find one here for added safety. The manual safety is located behind the hammer in the form of a forward and reverse operated switch. In the forward position closer to the hammer, the white marking, the revolver is locked. Moving the switch backward to the red marking unlocks it and you can cock the hammer to fire.
