The principle of breakaway airguns: breaking the barrel compresses the spring in the piston. The piston is then captured by the trigger mechanism. When the trigger is pulled, the piston is propelled forward. This creates pressure, which then drives the ammunition out of the barrel.
The Ruger Air Scout Magnum has been given a rifled 4.5mm caliber barrel with a length of 495 mm, which easily meets the requirements for accurate target shooting. Shooting can also be favourably affected by the barrel ending with a compensator. Thanks to its high power, it can also handle hunting small damage with the right type of diabolos.
The easy-to-read standard Tru-Glo sights with light guide elements will help you aim. The sight at the muzzle is fixed, and the sight at the opposite end is fully adjustable for elevation and side-to-side. If the standard sights are not enough, you can add a scope, a rifle scope into the 11mm grooves located on the cylinder.
The trigger mechanism of the Model Ruger Air Scout Magnum is sufficiently sensitive and is also protected by a automatic safety against possible accidental discharge. It is located at the rear of the cylinder in the form of a pull rod operated by pressing forward or pulling backward. When cocked, the air rifle is automatically activated and the rod is pulled back. Ruger Air Scout Magnum is housed in a very well ergonomically designed polymer stock. It is this proper ergonomics that allows the air rifle to be fired by both right and left-handed shooters. The secure grip of the gun is enhanced by the distinctive herringbone grooves on the grip and foregrip. At the end of the stock you will find a solid rubber boot to cushion the recoil after the shot.
