The Ruger air rifle is a direct competitor to the Crosman 1077. And we have to admit that it will be a very tough competitor given the exemplary workmanship of the< Ruger 10/22 model. The internal metal construction is complemented by a polymer stock that still looks durable.

Ruger 1022The Ruger 1022 is powered by two 12g CO2 bombs that are inserted into a pouch in the stock of the air rifle. This way nothing is visible and it doesn't disturb the impression that it is a Ruger small arms rifle. The use of 2pcs of bombs has increased the capacity of shots and the gun should be able to fire approximately 80 rounds.

The forearm of the airgun houses a cartridge that holds a classic 10 round diabolo ammunition magazine. The cartridge magazines can also be purchased separately and ready for quick change.

The sights of the Ruger 10/22 model are fixed, but the flip-up sight is height-adjustable. The air rifle has no rail for mounting optics or other tactical sights. There is, however, preparation in the form of 4 threaded holes for attaching the necessary rail.

The trigger mechanism operates in two modes. In Double Action mode, the trigger rotates the magazine and fires when depressed. To give you the option of shooting with a more sensitive trigger, the Ruger 1022 has a Single Action mode. On the right side of the air rifle is the bolt pull, which rotates the magazine and only the shot remains on the trigger. The trigger is significantly more sensitive.

The safety here is taken care of by a manual safety located in front of the trigger guard. It is operated by pressing it from the left or right side. If the red marking is visible, the air rifle is armed.
