Smith Wesson MP9 M2.0 has an internal metal alloy construction and mechanisms as well as a slide. The metal breech with BlowBack function - realistic breech movement during firing like a live weapon, is complemented by a polymer frame and ergonomic grip.

The 12g CO2 cartridge is inserted into a separate magazine hidden in the handle. Along with the bomb, ammunition is inserted into the front of this magazine. Steel BB shot of 4,5mm calibre. The capacity of the magazine is 18 steel BB.

Principle of the CO₂ system: the bomb is inserted into the weapon and mechanically sealed to the ramrod. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer hits the valve stem and the valve opens. This is where the CO₂ gas begins to flow from the bomb, which expels the round from the barrel.

The trigger mechanism of the pistol Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2 is in Double Action mode. To fire the pistol, just pull the trigger. The next shot can be repeated by pulling the trigger again.
