Crosman PFM16 Air Pistol
Crosman PFM16 is a replica of the Italian Beretta 85 Cheetah in air pistol design. Its construction is made of metal.
The Crosman PFM16 air pistol is powered by a CO2 12g bomb that is inserted under the sliding polymer grip shank.
The principle of operation of the CO2 system is as follows: A small bomb is inserted into the gun, which is impaled on the mandrel by means of a mechanical closure. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer strikes the valve stem and the valve opens. This starts a flow of CO2 gas from the vial, which pushes the bullet out of the barrel.
A separate metal magazine for 4.5mm steel BB shot can be inserted into the front of the grip of the Crosman PFM16 pistol. This magazine has a capacity for 19 BB pellets.
The trigger mechanism used in this pistol operates in Double Action Only mode. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer is automatically cocked and then fired.
A safety against accidental firing can be found on the frame of the gun above the trigger on the right side in the form of a lever. It can be set to two modes - armed and disarmed.
