Sabres 1831 US Marines Mameluke
This replica saber, used by US Marine Corps officers, draws inspiration from the Egyptian Mamluk weapons of war from the time of Napoleon's invasion of Egypt. This type of sword later spread to India, where it became popular with British officers.
The sabre is made of metal and its carbon steel blade is marked with the inscription United States Marines. The guard is imitation brass and the hilt is made of a material resembling ivory.
The scabbard for this saber is metal and features brass eyelets for ease of carry and aesthetic appeal.
The workmanship of the sword is precise, but it should be kept in mind that this is a replica intended primarily for collector and decorative purposes.
