After lighting the compact's fuse, individual rounds will begin firing after approximately 3 - 6 seconds at a range of 15 - 50 meters (depending on caliber). This is a completely automatic process, apart from lighting the fuse you don't have to worry about anything else, so just watch the whole spectacular show without any worries :-)
