The Umarex T4E Walther PDP Compact air pistol is used not only for defensive shooting, but also for practicing gun handling and shooting in general. Although not designed for competitive target shooting, it can handle canister and other target practice well.
Thanks to the combination of a metal breech and polymer frame, the overall weight of the gun is light. Although the pistol is relatively light, it is still quite sturdy.
The T4E Walther PDP Compact uses a CO2 12g bomb as the propellant, which is inserted directly into the magazine along with the ammunition. One cartridge is sufficient for up to 40 shots, but the actual number of shots depends on the valve condition and the ambient temperature
The principle of operation of the CO2 system is as follows: A small cartridge is inserted into the gun, which is impaled on the trigger by means of a mechanical closure. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer hits the valve stem and the valve opens. This starts a flow of CO2 gas from the vial, which pushes the bullet out of the barrel.
The magazine allows the use of Rubber Ball .43 caliber ammunition and has a capacity of 8 balls.In addition, you can use marker ammunition MAB, CKB or PAB. It is also possible to purchase this magazine as a separate accessory. In addition, an emergency magazine can be purchased with an accelerator bomb.
The Umarex T4E Walther PDP Compact uses a trigger mechanism in Single Action mode. Before the first shot is fired, the slide must be pulled back and then released to cock the hammer mechanism. Thanks to the Blowback system, which automatically retracts the hammer after the shot is fired, it is possible to continue shooting by pulling the trigger.
The pistol is equipped with a safety against accidental discharge called a reed safety. This safety is also used on Glock pistols. To unlock the gun and fire the shot, you must pull the trigger together with the safety reed.
