The construction is made up of a combination of metal breech and polymer frame . This favourably reduces the overall weight. At the same time, the gun is quite massive.
The propellant of the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 pistol is a CO2 bomb that is inserted into the grip. Along with the bomblet, ammunition Rubber Ball is inserted into the magazine and has a capacity of 8 of these balls. Several types of ammunition of this caliber are available. Extra magazines for the Glock 17 Gen5 pistol can also be ordered separately.
The trigger mechanism in the T4E Umarex Glock 17 Gen5 pistol has an SA - Single Action mode. The trigger does not retract the percussion mechanism. It is only there to trigger it. The trigger is softer as a result. Before the first shot, you pull the slide back and release forward. This extends the percussion mechanism. After the shot the hammer is automatically cocked due to the BlowBack system. To fire the next shot, all you have to do is pull the trigger. Just like a live firearm.
In the trigger guard you will find a safety against accidental firing called the reed safety. The trigger has to be pressed on the centre with the trigger reed in order to arm the gun and fire.
The so-called reed safety is located in the trigger guard.
