The T4E HDX 68 gun is a powerful weapon that shoots rubber pellets of caliber .68. Its alloy frame is covered in polymer. Thanks to this design, the weight of the weapon is favorably reduced. All technical solutions used in the production of Umarex's T4E weapons were chosen with regard to their durability, weight and quick readiness for use without unnecessary wear and tear on the weapon system.
To achieve maximum power up to 40J 40J, the shotgun needs to be powered by a CO2 88g bomb, which must be fired after piercing. One bomb lasts for about 30 full shots. For those who prefer smaller bombs, an adapter for 2x 12g CO2 is available. This adapter gives the gun a power output of up to 24J and also allows for Emergency piercing. The adapter can handle approximately 10 shots.
The principle of operation of the CO2 system is as follows: A small canister is inserted into the gun, which is impaled onto the buttstock using a mechanical closure. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer hits the valve stem and the valve opens. This starts a flow of CO2 gas from the vial, which pushes the bullet out of the barrel.
The ammunition magazine is located under the barrel of the shotgun and can hold up to 16 rounds of ammunition. When the forearm is cocked, the shotgun's reloading port opens. Reloading is accomplished by moving the forearm back and forth, which is the reason this shotgun is labeled as a pump-action shotgun. An accidental discharge safety is located behind the trigger on the shotgun frame. This safety mechanism is operated by a switch located on the right or left side. To load and reload, the shotgun safety must be disengaged and the trigger depressed.
The T4E HDX 68 shotgun features a trigger mechanism with a Single Action mode that controls only the actual shot. When the shotgun is reloaded, the hammer mechanism is automatically cocked.
The clear sights, which include a fixed sight and adjustable elevation and side sights, help you aim. The shotgun also features RIS rails of 22mm, which are positioned both on top for mounting a collimator or optic, and underneath for feet, flashlight, or other tactical accessories.
