Authentic replica of perhaps Austria's most famous brand, Glock. Umarex has been licensed to produce accurate replicas.
Like the sharp prototype, the lower frame of the gun is polymer and the slide is metal, as is the barrel of this gun.
This version of the airsoft pistol does not lack the BlowBack system, which ensures realistic movement of the slide during firing.
The 12g CO2 cartridge is inserted into the Glock 17 Gen 5 airsoft pistol in a separate magazine that can be removed from the gun without the CO2 gas escaping.
The principle of the CO2 system: the firing pin is inserted into the weapon and mechanically sealed to the buttstock. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer hits the valve stem and the valve opens. CO2 gas begins to flow from the bomb, which expels the bullet from the barrel.
The magazine also contains the ammunition. In this case, the plastic ammo is BB 6mm and holds 14 rounds. It can be purchased separately to stock as a spare.
The trigger mechanism of the Model Glock 17 Gen5 Blow Back has a Double Action design - since the trigger simultaneously pulls the hammer, it can be fired instantly. Thanks to the Blowback system, which cocking the gun by moving the slide backwards after the shot, the trigger is softer for the next shot, as it no longer needs to cock the hammer mechanism. An ideal combination.
As with the sharp model, the trigger is secured against accidental discharge by a so-called reed safety. The trigger must be pressed on the center to deactivate the safety. Of course, it also has a switchable safety located under the barrel. It is operated forward and backward, for total release and securing of the weapon.
