Air pistols and revolvers

Air pistols and revolvers are freely available weapons without the need for a firearms license, used primarily for sport and recreational shooting. These short air guns are offered in several variants, popular ones are for example modern air guns with CO2 propulsion. With the ability to fire multiple shots in a row, the CO2 guns bring you more shooting enjoyment than the classic recoil airguns that you are all used to from the earlier days. The best CO2 guns are offered by Umarex. In addition to air pistols and revolvers, we also offer long air rifles.

Types of short air guns

Short air weapons include pistols and revolvers. These air guns differ in the way the cartridges are stored in the gun.

Air revolvers, often called "tumblers", contain bullets in a revolving cylinder. After each shot, this cylinder rotates and prepares the next shot. Typically, this cylinder can contain between 6 and 10 BB buckshot or pellets.

On the other hand, air pistols often offer larger magazine capacity than those with a rotating cylinder. There are both semi-automatic and fully automatic air pistol models that offer high rates of fire. Various types are available, including collapsible pistols without a magazine, models with a flat spring magazine, or variants with a rotating magazine, which is typical of PCP airguns.

Division of air pistols and revolvers by propulsion

Airguns are divided into traditional spring-powered, precision PCP models and CO2-powered variants that allow multiple shots to be fired based on the way they fire pellets or buckshot. The method of propulsion plays an important role in the accuracy of the shot and affects the cost of operation.

Spring Air Pistols

Spring air pistols are charged by manually compressing the spring, either by breaking the barrel or by lever action. Their advantages include low cost to operate (except for ammunition), affordable price, and ease of repair. Weaknesses include lower accuracy and the need for manual reloading before each shot.

C2O air guns

Short CO2 air guns, whether they are CO2 pistols or CO2 revolvers, are very popular and use compressed carbon dioxide from disposable canisters as propellant. This provides comfortable firing without the need for cocking, with less recoil (this is not applicable on some blowback models) and the ability to fire multiple shots in a row. On the other hand, the cost must also include the purchase of CO2 bombs.

PCP gun

Pneumatic (PCP) guns work on the principle of compressed air from a cartridge, which can be refilled from a pressure vessel or with a special tool. PCP models excel in high precision and consistent performance in a variety of temperature conditions.
